Searched after by the Upaniads and the love which is difficult to attain even by the four sampradāyas such as Śrī, Brahmā, Rudra and Kumāra is easily obtained by the devotees of Gaura

Translation: His form is not completely known to the groups of the Upaniads which are the crest-jewel of all the śrutis, i.e. the head of all the Vedas.  The very relishable path of instruction that was not bestowed formerly, remained unknown even to Śrī, Brahmā, Rudra and Catusana, who are the inaugurators of the sampradāyas, then what to speak of their mūla-gurus, viz., Viśiṣṭādvaitavādī Śrī Rāmānujācārya, Madhvācārya the master of the Śuddhadvaitavādācārya, Śrī Viṣṇnuswāmī, the Śuddhādvaitācārya and Nimbāditya. Nevertheless, by the merciful sidelong glance of Lord Caitanya this is very easily obtained by the devotees of Gaura. Furthermore, this world has been maddened by the liquor of the love of Śri Rādhā Kṛṣṇa. Will that moon of Caitanya come in the perception of my words and mind?

Jayapatākā Swami: So, Here Prabodānanda Sarasvatī is describing ___________________ the pure love was revealed by Lord Caitanya. He is glorifying Lord Caitanya's special mercy. The other four sampradāyas teach devotional service but its gradual process, Lord Caitanya gave out His mercy into a very quick process So, different pure devotees have given different but Lord Caitanya is Kṛṣṇa Himself who has given out His mercy which previously was not bestowed. So, Lord Caitanya therefore gave out this mercy to all the fallen souls, He has predicted that that He was going to give out pure love of Kṛṣṇa to the sinners. So, He gave out the pure, the universe is maddened with Śrī Śrī Rādhā Kṛṣṇa's love, the Lord. So, even Advaita Gosāñi, He did not feel capable to make all the sinners into devotees. That’s why He worshipped the Śālagrāma śilā, Ganges water and Tulasī, with loud shouting and fasting, praying for the Lord to descend. Lord Caitanya had said that He came based on the loud invitation calling of Advaita. So, the mood of Caitanya Mahāprabhu was requested by this Prabodānanda Sarasvatī, so that he could have the liquor of love, to appear in his mind as Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.

Śrī Caitanya-candrāmṛtam 138

gauraharira līlā saṅgopane punarāya bhakti-mārgera viśṛṅkhalatā

Disturbances again on the path of devotional service upon the concealment of the pastimes of Gaura

ārcana-vikriya kvacid api jñānābhimāna kvacit
śrī-bhakti kvacid ujjvalāpi ca harer vāṅ-mātra eva sthitā
hā caitanya kuto gato’si padavī kutrāpi te nekyate

jāḍya karmasu—dull, materialistic fruitive activity; kutracit—in some sampradāya; japa-tapo-yogādika—austerity, japa, yoga and so on; kutracit—in some sampradāya; govindārcana-vikriya kvacid api—the rules and regulations pertaining to the worship of Govinda as per the path of arcana in some sampradāya; jñānābhimāna kvacit— devotional service is mixed with empiric knowledge in some sampradāya; śrī-bhakti—devotional service; kvacit—somewhere; ujjvalāpi—brilliant; ca harer—also of Hari; vāṅ-mātra eva sthitā—just the words (of ujjvala-bhakti) are present, i.e. no one is practicing devotional service. hā Caitanya—hā Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya; kuta gato’si—where have you gone?; padavī—pure and confidential path of the most sublime and radiant mellow of devotional service, the mellow of conjugal love; kutrāpi—in any sampradāya; te—your; na īkyate—is not seen.

Anuvāda: Hā śrī-kṛṣṇa-caitanya! tumi kothāya prasthāna karile! tomāra śuddha nigūḍha unnatojjvala-rasa-bhakti-mārga āra kona sampradāyei dṛṣṭa haya nā. kona sampradāye karmajaḍatā, kona sampradāye tapa, japa, yogādi, kona sampradāye arcanamārge govinda-pūjana-vidhi, kona sampradāye jñāna-miśra-bhakti evaṁ kothāyao vā ujjvala-bhakti ācāravihīna vākyamātrei avasthāna karitechena.

Translation: Hā Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya! Where have you gone?! Your pure and confidential path of the most sublime and radiant mellow of devotional service, the mellow of conjugal love is not seen in any sampradāya. Dull, materialistic fruitive activity in some sampradāya, austerity, japa, yoga and so on in some sampradāya, the rules and regulations pertaining to the worship of Govinda as per the path of arcana in some sampradāya, devotional service mixed with empiric knowledge in some sampradāya and somewhere just the words of ujjvala-bhakti without practice is present.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, although in these four sampradāyas – Śrī, Brahmā, Rudra and the four Kumarās, there was some revelation of the process of devotional service, but there was no actual practice of how to do the process that Lord Caitanya advised. So now that He had left where will we get these instructions? Lord Caitanya has awakened this spontaneous love in the minds of the sinful people. so He had descended with His various sāṅgopāṅgāstra-pārṣadam His expansions. His energies, His associates, weapons, all these paraphernalia from the spiritual world were eager to come down with Him. His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda has given us the mercy of Lord Caitanya. But the question is that now that Lord Caitanya has left, how do we get this extreme mercy? So, we normally say that His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda had given us this rare mercy of Lord Caitanya, and we should try to understand this gift of Lord Caitanya. Otherwise, Lord Caitanya is truly giving us the most confidential benefit.

Śrī Caitanya-candrāmṛtam 139

gauraharira līlā-saṅgopane bhaktagaṇera hṛdaya-vedanā

Pain of the devotee’s heart upon the concealment of the pastimes of Gaura

ā tasyaiva praaya-rasa-magna jagad abhūt
abh
ūd uccair uccais tumula-hari-sakīrtana-vidhi
sa kāla ki bhūyo’py ahaha parivarteta madhura

abhivyakta—manifest in the world; yatra—the time when; druta-kanaka-gauro hari—golden color of Śrī Hari, like the complexion of the molten gold; abhūt—became; mahimnā tasyaiva—only by whose glory; praaya-rasa-magna—merged in the mellow of love; jagat—the bhū-maṇḍala; abhūt—became; abhūt uccai uccai tumula-hari-sakīrtana-vidhi—the path of tumultuous Hari sakīrtana in loud voice was also inaugurated; sa kāla—that time; ki bhūya apy—also will be again; ahaha—A! Ah; parivarteta—come again; madhura—sweet.

Anuvāda: Ye-kāle galita-kanakakānti gauratanu śrī-hari prapañcera gocarībhūta haiyāchilena, tatkāle tāṅhāra prabhāve pṛthivī praṇayarase magna evaṁ uccaiḥsvare tumula kṛṣṇa-saṅkīrtana-praṇālīo pravartita haiyāchila. hāya! sei madhurakāla āra ki punarāya phiriyā āsibe?

Translation: At the time when golden body Śrī Hari, like the complexion of the molten gold, appeared in the world, that time, under his influence the world was merged in the mellow of love and the loud Kṛṣṇa Sakīrtana system was also introduced. Alas! Will that sweet time come back again?

Jayapatākā Swami: So, this saṅkīrtana mellow is something that Lord Caitanya, He distributed and implemented. And we see that Śrīla Prabhupāda, His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda, had introduced this Harināma saṅkīrtana again. He did Harināma saṅkīrtana and He personally danced and led the kīrtana. I was driven back to the temple by one devotee and he had taken Śrīla Prabhupāda back. Śrīla Prabhupāda was riding in his car and he asked the devotee, did you see how beautiful Lord Gaura Nitai were dancing amongst the devotees? But that devotee was not able to see that, so he just said Jaya Śrīla Prabhupāda! Certainly, Prabodānanda Sarasvatī was feeling great separation when Lord Caitanya left. But Śrīla Prabhupāda, re-brought that saṅkīrtana movement to the West and the devotees began chanting and dancing. Śrīla Prabhupāda did see Lord Caitanya’s participation in their festivals. As I was saying that all of you are very fortunate, you are participating in the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, His pastime are still going on, you are so fortunate you are participating. Actually, we can see from His Divine Grace Srila Prabodānanda Sarasvatī’s words, what it is like to see Lord Caitanya. He could not say much more than He is beautiful, golden color, indescribable. Lord Caitanya’s saṅkīrtana movement which is performed now in various countries of the world, which was performed by the parikramā parties in Māyāpur where some parties are standard Aryan brothers who meet the Western and others and they embrace and say Jaya Śacīnandana! Jaya Śacīnandana! Haribol! Gaurāṅga! Gaurāṅga! Gaurāṅga! Nityānanda Nityānanda! Advaita Gosāñi, Gadādhara! Śrīvāsa!

Kṛṣṇer matir astu!

Happy Gītā Jayantī! Today is Gita Jayantī. Krsna spoke the Bhagavad-gītā and Bhagavad-gītā I went to the place in Kurukshetra, the tree that He spoke under is still there. 5000 years old tree, you can look it up. There Lord Kṛṣṇa, He spoke the Bhagavad-gītā. That is Kṛṣṇa kathā, the divine words of Śrī Kṛṣṇa. Śrīla Prabhupāda wanted to have a temple at Kurukshetra and Saksi Gopāla and HH Gopāla Kṛṣṇa mahārāja they are working on the project and it is coming alive, it is manifesting. So all over the world they are reading the Bhagavad-gītā As It Is, celebrating Gita Jayantī. So, we thank all of you for this. Lord Caitanya, He wanted everyone to read Bhagavad-gītā and chant hare Kṛṣṇa and so all that is happening - that is Lord Caitanya’s mercy. Hare Krsna!

Thus ends the commentary of the above verses of the Caitanya-candrāmṛtam by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja.
